Now that I have finished school and have a bit of
time before college starts I have worked out a proper 2 week rotating Training

Running, Cycling and Swimming... Check out my Race CV... Just updated it.
Been getting my Dad to get some videos, great one Dad, you nearly got me...!!??
Silverstone Duathlon Once again great event (have you noticed how most of the events I do I find great?) Really really pleased with the bike leg I came out of transition after the Bike in 4th.
It was great to see so many people that I know. Well done to Richard Hancock from SNCC for coming 1st Vet, and to Ian Turner for his Win. Also well done to Wayne Tunnah for doing well on his new Bike..!!! I also placed higher then I have done before and finished in 5th a few minutes faster then my PB... Its a great race... NiceTri/SNCC Won 1st Vet, 1st Overall and First JM....

Pactrac Wednesday Evening Race. Just did my third of the series, these are great little evening races and I would thoroughly recommend them, I’m doing as many as I can as part of my ‘speedwork’ training. I was within 3 seconds of my previous time - in different conditions, so happy. I came out of the pool about seventh and off the bike in first, the route suits me what with its demanding hills and long drags. After the turnaround on the run the long hill climb killed my legs. Soon I had Rob Hammond (from Pactrac) on my tail and he overhauled me, I hung on and stayed on his shoulder. It came down to an uphill sprint finish. He had the legs, I didn’t, Rob pipped me on the line with his first win in the Pactrac Mini Series with a massive PB for him. Good stuff well done Rob.......next time..?
On Thursday I was racing at the SNCC Evening Time Trial. My legs had nearly recovered from the day before but I could still feel a bit of ache in them. I was third last the go off and knowing full well that I was going to get overtaken by Richard Hancock who was starting 2 minutes behind me. Richard’s quick, he has offered for me to do a bit of training with him, (let me tag along!) definitely going to take up this offer. I held him off as long as I could but by around about the 7 mile mark he had overtaken me. I rolled over the finish line just over 30 seconds slower than my PB. I was really pleased with this performance; the conditions were so bad that a lot of people had slipped back a minute or two.
SNCC sportive, here's one for your diary.
Entries are limited to 200 riders so book now to avoid disappointment.

Saturday morning I was at Box End Park for a swim, I find this is a great place to swim, nice and warm (at the moment) with, what I find, the perfect distance round the lake. I bumped into Richard who also swim trains at Box End Park on a Saturday morning, After the swim we recce d the bike route for the Sprint Tri that was held the following day, I have recently signed up with Strava to monitor the route.
I plan to use this as a tool to help with my progress. You can follow my Strava stuff here
Sunday 1st July, was the VoTwo Box End Sprint Triathlon. This was a very well run event especially seeing as it was the first time they had held the event at Box End. On the Day they had two long swims, a Middle Distance, an Olympic Distance and the Sprint Distance.
I and a few of my fellow club members had signed up to compete in the Sprint distance along with 110 (roughly) other competitors. Finally the sun came out, still rather windy, but nothing to what we’ve had lately. I had a great swim (for me), and was really pleased to have had the second fastest bike (and only second to Richard Hancock – again!),
My run wasn’t too bad either, considering it was a tougher off-road course than it looked. I came 2nd overall – and first Junior Male. Chuffed.
Also, congrats to club mate Gary Wale for winning the SuperVet category – who’d rather surprised himself (and had only come into the presentation tent to eat his bacon sarnie as it had started raining)
Well done also to Richard Hancock who just
missed out winning the over 40s category. and, to Joss who had some great times and compared to his
last race had amazing transitions!!
And to top my day off, I picked up a
rather nice orange Zoot running top from the TriCrazy stall at the
event.
