About me

I'm 19, I live in the village of Staploe, Nr St Neots. Cambridgeshire. UK

I have represented GB in my age group for the ETU European Triathlon Championships and The World Championship in London in 2013 and again in 2014 at the Euro champs in Kitzbuhel and the Worlds in Canada

I was the European AG Champion 2014

I was also the AG World Duathlon Champion 2014

English Under 20 Sprint Triathlon Champion 2014

In 2012 and 2014 I was the British, European under 23 Quadrathlon Champion and the Junior World Sprint Quadrathlon Champion

I have always been a sporty kid, right from an early age where apparently I showed promise at gymnastics, and my parents were recommended to take me to gym club.  I joined the prestigious Huntingdon Olympic Gymnastics Club, (where Louis Smith trains). I really enjoyed myself and won a few small competitions in the under 7 age groups.  What I really enjoyed most was the jumping and trampolining, and a friend suggested I try this instead.

So I moved on to a great club Potton Saints where I learnt a lot and trained with their elite squad.  Sadly, the coach emigrated to Australia,
I was now 8 years old and started running with Riverside Runners and was enjoying this so much, I wanted to concentrate mainly on the running.
Running then became my focus and I competed (and won!) many local races, mainly 3k (effectively distance running for kids!), and excelled. I was Riverside’s junior runner of the year at the local Frostbite winter running series (2005/6), becoming ‘most promising boy’ 2006, and Boy Champion of the Year 2007.

I was lucky enough to join Lincroft Middle School who have an excellent running history, (Paula Radcliffe attended a number of years before me!) and had great opportunities, taking part in many races including the National Schools Cross Country cup and National Schools Fell Running

Amongst other early running achievements, I ran for my county for 3 years at the National Cross Country Championships, took part in national relays and represented the county and eastern region in the London Mini Marathon twice.
That just about covers my early sporting life, (I have done much more but for your sake have cut it down!) Running alongside this, I had and have many other interests, including:
Some say I'm a bit greedy, but I find one sport is just not enough!!
      • I attend University of Bedfordshire, studying Sports Science & Personal Training.
      • The rest of the time is spent training and of course racing!
