Hydrated up and ready to go...

Last  Monday I had a 'sweat test' at the Porsche Human Performance Centre at Silverstone, 'sweat test', I know, sounds horrid.
The thought of having to run on a 'mill or ride on a Turbo until enough sweat (there's that word again) has dripped off your brow, down you cheek and into a bucket. Only for someone to sniff it and go 'yep that's strong' fills one with dread.

But I am happy to report  it's not like that! No running, no turbo, no dripping and definitely no bucket. It is in fact all very easy and relaxing, Andy the ' hydration technician' (well, why can't he have a title) and his helpful assistant sat me down on a comfy chair (normal chair, not like a hospital couch) and explained what was going to happen,

I would find it difficult to explain here (after all the guys at H2Pro use a film to explain the process) I have put a link to this at the end of this segment. Basically a chemical is put on a small area on your arm, covered with a small cover,  collected in a tiny tube, this is then put through a machine for analysis. Then results.
Took me about 30 minutes. Then Andy spent time to explain the results and to answer our many questions.
It was a real eye opener.
The thing is, I work hard at training, I spend a lot of time building my bikes.
To get that extra percentage through proper tailored  hydration just makes sense.
I like mine extra cold

Has it worked for me? simple answer, don't know yet. I think it's something that you notice over time with how you feel in training and race results.Saying that I had a great 26 mile ride this morning, feeling good and hydrating all the way! I even use the H2Pro 250 as my normal day school drink, the benefits on being properly hydrated in the class room is uncontested'

Here's that H2Pro  film to explain the process.
Jut a thought, if you meet any of the guys from H2Pro tell them I said 'hi'

The first part of this competition has now finished! It's now down to the Judges panel
(who I suspect are just about the most fantastic, level headed group of people you would ever meet)
I really must thank everyone who has got me this far by voting for me.
Thank you.

I have entered a sponsorship competition, 'The Bring on Tomorrow Foundation'
(For Goodness Shakes in partnership with SportsAid.)
Its a fantastic opportunity,
The first round is ‘the public vote’.
Although I came into this competition a bit late I feel really chuffed that so many
of you have put a vote in for me. So thank you very much.

The top 10 with the most votes go forward to the Judges panel. Could I please ask you if you haven't yet done so to help me get to that panel by voting for me! The competition closes at the end of March so I need to keep those votes coming inIf you could please pass this on, share, re-tweet, smoke signals, anything that works for you would be great.
Again my thanks
It doesn't cost anything and only takes 30 seconds and your vote does count.

Here's a quick little video I put together for my bid
